a small hill, once occupied by a little seventeenth-century fortress, with a beautiful view of the castle, the historic town and the surrounding landscape.
an open-air municipal swimming pool with three uses, one for beginners, one for children, and a cafeteria on the summit of the hill.
a square “plateau” constructed on the ground, a pergola that defines the space and reinforces the sense of a belvedere, a space from which to see and be seen.
the pools themselves are set into the foundations, with the services in the interior of the base. the raised cafeteria overlooks the swimming pool and the landscape. the geometrical rotation forms a spiral above the line of the horizon.
